QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCES
OF THE CERTIFICATION BODY AT THE CENTRAL MINING INSTITUTE
ACCORDING TO ACCREDITATION OF THE POLISH CENTER FOR ACCREDITATION

In the range of accreditation of Polish Center for Accreditation the Certification Body at Central Mining Institute possesses:

1. The Polish Center for Accreditation by issuing The Certificate of Accreditation of the Certification Body of the Products No. AC 038 confirmed competence of Certification Body (CMI - CB) in the scope of fulfilment of the standard’s requirements PN - EN 45011:2000 "General requirements for bodies operating product certification systems” which determines the validity: till 30th October 2010.
   
   The Certification Body possesses and holds the accreditation of 31st December 1996 (first Certificate of Accreditation No. 38 / Cw -42/1 / 96 of 31st December 1996).
   
   The accredited activity defined in "The Scope of Accreditation of the Product Certification Body No AC 038.” (issued by PCA, Edition No 3, Issue date: 8th December 2006) is realized by the Certification Body - the Product Certification Team in Katowice as well as Product Certification Team Experimental Mine "Barbara” in processes of product conformity certification.

2. The Polish Center for Accreditation by issuing The Certificate of Accreditation of the Management System Certification Body No AC 038 confirmed competence of Certification Body (CMI - CB) in the scope of fulfilment of the standard’s requirements PN - EN 45011:2000 "General requirements for bodies operating assessment and certification/ registration of quality systems” which determines the validity: from 5th October 2001 till 4th October 2009.
   
   The accredited activity defined in "The Scope of Accreditation of the Management System Certification Body No AC 083” (issued by PCA, Edition of No. 4, Issue date: 14th December 2006). is realized by the The Certification Body - Management System Certification Team,in processes of:
   1. Certification of Quality Management System (QMS) conformity with standard’s requirements PN - EN ISO 9001:2001 "Quality Management Systems - Requirements”.
   2. Certification of Quality Environmental Management System (EMS) with standard’s requirements PN - EN ISO 14001:2005 "Environmental management systems – Requirements with guidance for use”.
   3. Certificate of Safety and Health Management System conformity with standard’s requirements PN - N-18001:2004 "Occupational safety and health management systems - Requirements."

   The scope of the accreditation of the Certification Body covers voluntary assessment with requirements determined in the aforementioned standards.
